Today in the latest Active Time Report, Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata showed off more than 40 minutes of the demo that releases alongside Final Fantasy Type-0 HD on March 17.

Unlike previous livestreams, this Episode Duscea demo is largely uninterrupted. Tabata showed the transition of day into night, and gave players a glimpse of the combat and flow. While some gameplay is shown early in the video, the demo begins in earnest at the 34 minute mark. Here you get your first substantial look at what Final Fantasy XV looks like after nearly nine years of off and on development.

Gematsu has the full report of what was shown in the demo and the information from the Q&A that took place after the demo concluded. Of special note is that in addition to picking up a first run copy of Final Fantasy Type-0, you can also secure your chance to play Episode Duscae by downloading a copy of Final Fantasy Type-0 in the first two months of its availability.
