Evolve
Turtle Rock and 2K are finally ready to give us a good look at what Evolve looks like as a solo experience. When you don’t have friends to team up with, you can work your skills as hunter and prey with some features that will make it worth visiting.
In the video below, you’ll see 22 minutes of the Defend game type (part of Evacuation mode) from both perspectives. As the monster, you’ll have minions at your disposal as you work to take out generators and the evacuation ship. As the Hunters, you can hot swap among your team to lock down the objectives and take on an AI monster.
Anything you do in solo mode counts for your progression. Turtle Rock describes it as an opportunity to try out new techniques and become familiar with characters you might not regularly play.
Evolve is due out on February 10 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. For more, check out our cover story from February 2014.
