Dreams
PlayStation and Media Molecule showed off an extensive first look at the gameplay of Dreams at the Paris Games Week event today. The demo showed off a verdant forest and spooky crypt the player can interact with.
Creative Director Mark Healey and Technical Director Alex Evans demoed Dreams in a new video. The demo featured the “Imp,” a primary tool of the game’s creation and manipulation engine.
The player character, in this case a cutesy bipedal bear, enters a gentle meadow, where the player can place objects like trees and manipulate the environment. Once inside a spooky crypt, the player meets a gargantuan mouse. The final portion features a massive mountain of cake the player can manipulate, including constructing a bridge of pink wafers to reach the top.
