Drakengard 3 composer Keiichi Okabe didn't work on the two previous games, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. This new trailer for the title features Okabe talking about creating music for Drakengard 3, as well as giving a look at the game itself.

Okabe said he worked with the game's director to create music that was a custom fit for the title's scenes, and which didn't have to relate to the previous games in the series.

Soon you can hear snippets of Okabe's work in the game over at the official site under the "Music" heading (not live at the time of this writing). In the meantime, you can read backstory of the Drakengard 3's Intoner Disciples by clicking on "Novella" along the lefthand side.

For more on the game, take a look at this clip of artist Kimihiko Fujisaka talking about creating the game's characters, and be sure to look at the new screens below.

Drakengard 3 comes out for the PlayStation 3 on May 20.
