DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition
Ninja Theory has handed out a bit more information about a new game mode coming to the Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition. Vergil’s Bloody Palace, which features Dante’s brother Vergil, mimics the similarly named Bloody Palace that has been a series staple since Devil May Cry 2. Vergil’s Bloody Palace also comes with a difficulty twist.
Instead of starting on Human and ramping up through all of the difficulties, the new 60-stage game mode sets out on Nephilim difficulty and transitions every 20 levels until it hits Virgil Must Die difficulty. Ninja Theory developer Dominic Matthews says the mode was one of the first features the studio chose to develop when given the chance to update the game for new consoles.
Like previous Definitive Edition gameplay trailers, the footage above of Virgil’s Bloody Palace is playing at 60fps. For more on DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition, check out these other recent trailers and keep an eye out for our review as the game nears launch.
