Digimon All-Star Rumble
Bandai Namco announced today that its new party-arena multiplayer game Digimon All-Star Rumble is coming to America later this year. The new game in the Digimon franchise sees the digital monsters battling one another to Digi-volve in the “Digimon Evolution Tournament.”
In the competitive multiplayer game, up to four players will be able to choose from 12 playable Digimon, pulled from every Digimon television series from Digimon Adventure to Digimon Fusion. Combat in the main versus mode consists of battling opponents while simultaneously attempting to Digi-volve into more powerful forms to gain the upper hand. With evolved forms included, there are a total of 32 playable Digimon in Digimon All-Star Rumble.
Digimon is a multi-media entertainment franchise that started in 1997 as a Tamagochi-like virtual pet toy and expanded to include multiple toy series, anime television shows, manga, movies, trading card games, and movies. The series follow the eponymous digimon, digital monsters that exist in the “DigiWorld,” a virtual world unto itself, and their human “tamers.” To date there have been 17 Digimon video games released in North America.
Digimon All-Star Rumble is releasing for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 11, 2014. For more info on the upcoming competitive multiplayer action game, check out the screens and art in the gallery below, and watch for a trailer which should be coming soon.
