Dead Island Epidemic
Not tired of fighting the zombie horde quite yet? Take a look at this new trailer for Deep Silver’s Dead Island: Epidemic to learn about the classes and game modes that the title will offer.
Epidemic is Deep Silver’s attempt to enter the highly popular and lucrative MOBA business. The self-proclaimed ZOMBA (Zombie Online Multiplayer Battle Arena) promises to be a different experience from other titles in the genre. Instead of the constant mouse clicking typically associated with most MOBA’s, Epidemic will feature WASD as your primary means of movement.
The primary game mode is called Battle Royale, in which three teams of twelve humans fight hordes of undead, as well as each other, to gain control of key points and supplies. Players will be able to seamlessly switch from melee and ranged combat styles on the fly with the game’s four classes. Weapon crafting, a staple of the Dead Island series, is also promised.
Dead Island: Epidemic is currently available for Early Access on Steam but will be free-to-play upon release. There’s no word yet on when it’s set to come out, but take a look at our in-depth preview here to learn more.
