Publisher 505 Games has released a new Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night trailer, which shows off some of the spooky locations you'll be traversing in the game, as well as an extended look at a weird, bloody boss battle.

The opening section is relatively tame, with protagonist Miriam strolling through empty stages, but it quickly ramps up. It shows off a few of the creeps that inhabit Bloodstained's world, as well as Miriam's impressive combat abilities. Things get particularly interesting in the end, when she runs into an umbrella-wielding baddie who soaks the screen in waves of gushing blood.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is set for a 2018 release. For more info on the game, take a look at our recent hands-on preview, based on the opening moments of the adventure.
