Nothing is done on a small scale in the grim dark future depicted by Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40,000 universe. One of the upcoming titles set in that fiction, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada, takes us away from ground battles and onto the massive ships of the Imperial fleet and its adversaries.

Today, Focus Home Interactive and Tindalos have started to lay the groundwork for the single-player campaign. Players will often be faced with choices about how to proceed and which battles to take on.

Losing does not mean the end in some instances, with the story redirected by players’ prowess (or lack thereof) in the cold, dark space of the Gothic sector. Focus Home has also opened pre-orders for the title, which is due in March.

Those that pre-order or purchase in the game’s launch window will receive the Space Marine faction for multiplayer and AI skirmish modes. For more on Battlefleet Gothic: Armada, check out our previous coverage
