Shay Patrick Cormac's adventure is set between the events of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin's Creed III, so it stands to reason that he'd run into a few prominent faces from that fictional history. A new Assassin's Creed Rogue trailer shows a few of them, as well as plenty of slow-motion action.
In the video, you can see Edward Kenway's comrade Adéwalé at the helm of a ship, and it's clear from his expression that he's not especially thrilled about Shay's conversion from Assassin to the Templar cause. A little after the 30-second mark, you can see flashes of Shay fighting someone who looks an awful lot like Achilles Davenport in his familiar home. Achilles mentored Conor in Assassin's Creed III, reluctantly at first, perhaps due to the sting of Shay's betrayal.
