Anno 2205 is the newest entry in a city simulation series that has been around since the late ‘90s. This latest installment promises to be the largest title yet. Taking place a couple hundred years in the future, Anno 2205 tells the story of an Earth that is in dire need of resources. Players start here, where they must build up a cities and infrastructure until their expansion takes them to the next logical frontier: the moon.
Like with other Anno titles, Anno 2205 puts players in charge of building multiple cities across different environments. Players will be able to build cities that rival previous Anno games both in size and population. In addition to the ability to bring life to the moon, Anno 2205 will bring a new infrastructure system to the series, along with new bridges, advanced population levels, multi-session gameplay, and a new trade system.
Once players advance to the moon, colonization brings on a whole new set of challenges. As mining and shipping resources back to Earth becomes priority, settlements must be able to adapt to the harsh radiation and dangerous landscapes of the moon. The images in the gallery below give a first look at some of the structures and cities players can expect to see, both on the moon and on Earth’s surface.
Anno 2205 releases exclusively for PC on November 3.
