I know you're probably thinking, "Haven't I already played a bunch of Angry Birds sequels?" You're not wrong, but this is the first one to receive the coveted number two after the title.
Regarding what separates this game from the original or any of its many follow-ups – it's not clear yet. A teaser for the game, which you can see below, features realistic pigs and boxes on a realistic beach. It would be easy to mistake it for a teaser for a new Far Cry game.
On its website, Rovio doesn't offer much more saying it's the "mother of all sequels" and the teaser video's descriptions reads, "On Piggy Island, every day is beach party day. But sooner or later, all parties get crashed..." Whatever it is that separates this Angry Birds from all others, we won't have to wait long to find out. The game will be available on iOS and Android devices on Thursday July 30.
