Akiba’s Trip Undead and Undressed
When Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed comes to PlayStation 4 later this month, it’s bringing with it a whole lot of stuff that should give it new life on new gen. In addition to higher visual fidelity and faster load times, several gameplay options will be given to PS4 owners.
Players who choose to livestream their gaming sessions will be given the option to allow viewers to interact with the game in a variety of ways. If, for example, a viewer selects the Police command, the in-game five-o will be alerted to your debauchery, while Attack turns NPCs hostile toward the player. On the more characteristically absurd end of the spectrum, a series of panty-related commands will cause female undergarments in the area to react in any number of ways.
Toybox Mode lets players begin a new game with one of every weapon, clothing item and accessory right off the bat. The trade-off for the boost comes in the form of disabled trophies, nicknames, and other forms of in-game reward.
The Visual Editor gives the player a set of tools for altering the game’s aesthetic. The deep toolset lets players choose line thickness, color palates, shadow and fog cover, and more. For the paint-by-numbers types (like me), there are also preset schemes that don’t require fiddling with dials.
Xseed promises there are even more additions and options for the PlayStation 4 version of Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed, insisting they’re best kept as surprises. For everything that we already know about, check out the trailer and screenshots below.
Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed is currently available for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita and will come to PlayStation 4 on November 25th. Check out Joe Juba's review of the PlayStation 3 version and visit the game's official site for more information.
