"Like The Musée Du Louvre Of Games" – A Tour Of My Game Informer Office

by Andrew Reiner on Sep 02, 2011 at 07:56 AM

Randy Pitchford recently showed us his office (which is okay), and although Ben Hanson refused to shoot video of my office, I figured I would do the same thing. Most people cannot fully comprehend the levels of awesome that are contained within my office's four walls. I usually have to tell people "Don't touch that!" and "Please stop bringing your family by to look at my office."

The shot above is of my door. All of the office doors are painted silver. I requested to have my office door be the only one painted gold. I have yet to hear back if someone will paint it.

"Look! It's a cockroach!" I say this to all new visitors. The roach is a plastic toy. Most people look at it, and then tell me I'm an idiot.

And there she is! Take a few minutes to soak it in. Things I should point out in this shot: That's a Manhunt director chair. I have a bulletproof vest on my chair. My trash is full. The Metroid: Other M poster is still hanging as a joke. The yellow bag in the background contains LEGO minifigures I just purchased.

This is my favorite part of the tour. I love these Final Fantasy X figures.

Han hides a mess of cables.

The entire Insomniac Games team signed this poster.

The same can be said of this Modern Warfare poster. I put its value at $10,000,000.

The Warhammer sword we got yesterday was placed in my office after Ben Hanson hurt his hand holding it.

A robotic panda makes love to a stuffed panda in a box.

I just realized I have way too much Ratchet & Clank stuff in my office. This statue is going in the trash.

Most Game Informer editors that walk into my office tinker with the Brutal Legend statue. The person that breaks it gets fired. My money is on Dan.

Howard Scott Warshaw signed my copy of E.T. at a Classic Gaming Convention. He didn't really seem happy to see an unopened copy of this game.

Jeff Cork gave me this Rancor Keeper. He's a sweetheart.

My 12" speeder bike pilot sits behind my laptop (complete with pink cable). We recently were sent a signed copy of El Shaddai, which I stole from Phil.

Four of the greatest things ever made.

That's an unopened copy of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. I think it's worth $100,000,000.

A mouse getting robbed of a hot dog. Reminds me of my life.

This is where all the review magic happens.

That's a wampa in a 50 Cent Bulletproof vest.

Gears of War and Crysis 2 sneakers. Both valued at $500,000 each.

All of Luke Skywalker's comic book adventures in one book. I read this when I want to feel better about myself.
