The Muppets Reinvented As Star Wars Characters
I'm not a huge fan of multi-universe amalgamations, but man, I love the look of these Star Wars Muppets toys. One of my fondest childhood memories is of watching a Star Wars-themed Muppets episode with my father. If memory serves me correctly, Mark Hamill reprised his role of Luke Skywalker, and battled a Darth Gonzo (one of the figures planned in this series).
Like most Disney merchandise, these action figures will only be available at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. The first series includes Beaker as C-3PO, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew as R2-D2, Sam the Eagle as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Kermit as Luke, Link Hogthrob as Han Solo, Fozzy the Bear as Chewbacca, Miss Piggy as Princess Leia, and the Darth Gonzo comes with Camillia the chicken dressed as a stormtrooper. These sets go on sale this fall, just in time for the new Muppets movie.
