GI Show – Setsuna, Pokémon Go, Ron Gilbert Interview

by Ben Hanson on Jul 22, 2016 at 04:25 AM

Welcome back to The Game Informer Show! This week we have Joe Juba to talk about Square-Enix's new throwback RPG, I Am Setsuna, and how the game compares to its inspirations like Chrono Trigger. Dan Tack talks about Monster Hunter Generations and World of Warcraft's pre-expansion changes. And then we formally introduce our new associate editor who is finally in the office, Elise Favis! Also, we finally dive deep into the world-wide craze that is Pokémon Go. After all of that nonsense, we're joined by the legendary adventure game designer Ron Gilbert to talk about his new game Thimbleweed Park, Monkey Island's chances of returning, and more. Also, don't forget that next week's podcast will feature the second part of our GI Game Club for Deus Ex: Human Revolution!
