GI Show 235: The Order: 1886, Kirby Rainbow Curse, Hand of Fate

by Matt Helgeson on Feb 19, 2015 at 01:00 PM

The Order: 1886 is finally here? For all our feelings about this divisive game, as well as a new Kirby title and great sleeper pick.

First off, host Matt Helgeson is joined by Matt Miller, Ben Reeves, and Joe Juba to talk about Ready at Dawn's The Order: 1886. The game has received a lot of criticism about its (rather brief) length – but what about the experience that is there? Our trio of editors have mixed feelings about a game that is at once compelling and a missed opportunity.

In the next segment, Bryan Vore and Kyle Hilliard stop by to discuss Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, a unique, touch-screen follow-up to Kirby and the Canvas Curse on the Nintendo DS. This version sports a very cool, molded clay look and unique touch controls.

Finally, PC editor Dan Tack is on the scene to clue us in on Hand of Fate, a very innovative action-RPG that combines a number of genres in a very new way.
