The Game Informer Show Ep. 50: Epic Mickey, Downloadable Games

by Matt Helgeson on Dec 02, 2010 at 10:51 AM

That's right -- the big 5-0! We made it. Somehow, we've managed to turn in 50 episodes of the Game Informer Show, so thanks to all of you that took the time to listen to them. We appreciate it. For our 50th Episode, we start off with the game that helped kick off Gameinformer.com 2.0.: Epic Mickey. This Wii exclusive was created by legendary designer Warren Spector and definitely shows his lifelong love of all things Disney. While the game has its share of great concepts and content, Andy Reiner and Matt Miller had some serious reservations about the level designs and gameplay. The second segment sees Matt, Reiner, and Miller joined by Joe Juba and Dan Ryckert, as we discuss some of the great  recent downloadable games available on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. After Reiner basically claims to be the greatest pinball player on Earth while talking Pinball FX2, Joe actually becomes enraged about Pac-Man Championship Edition DX. That's right -- Joe hates Pac-Man! What a guy! We finish up by giving some major love to Ilomilo, one of the year's best puzzle games.

Note: In the podcast, Reiner mentions the "secret website" where you can buy Ilomilo early. This story will tell you how to do it
