Last year's inaugural Pokémon Go Fest didn't exactly go smoothly. The event was plagued with technical issues, which made it nearly impossible for some attendees to access the game. On-stage presentations were interrupted by chants of, "Fix the game!" Niantic ultimately agreed to settle a class-action lawsuit filed by people who were upset after paying for airfare and other travel expenses.

Our Take
Here's hoping that Niantic learned from its mistakes, and has figured out a way to deliver online access for a highly concentrated group of players who require it. If not, at least we'll be able to read some entertaining stories later.
