Reader Discussion – What Was The Last Game That Surprised You?
I'm going to level with you. As someone who liked but did not love the original series, I did not expect God of War to be as good as it is. The pacing, beautiful writing, fantastic combat, and awe-inspiring boss fight have all made the game an early Game Of The Year leader for me.
So what about you, reader? When was the last time a game surprised you with just how great it is? I think for me, before God of War, it'd probably be Breath Of The Wild and then Wolfenstein: The New Order before it.
