Spyro Is Getting His Own Remastered Trilogy, And It's Out In September

by Suriel Vazquez on Apr 05, 2018 at 10:00 AM

Almost two months after rumors swirled that the Spyro series would be getting a remaster in the vein of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Activision has officially announced it. Spyro Reignited Trilogy Arrives on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 21.

Developed by Toys For Bob (the same studio that worked on the N. Sane Trilogy), Reignited Trilogy overhauls Spyro The Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon with modern graphics, controls (including full analog stick support), cutscenes, and a "re-imagined" soundtrack. This includes over 100 levels, old and new orb challenges, and mini-games. Tom Kenny, who played Spyro in Ripto's Rage! and Year of the Dragon will reprise his role for Reignited Trilogy.

While waiting for the game to release, anyone who's bought the N. Sane Trilogy can whet their appetite by launching that remaster and entering the code ↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → □ at the Crash Bandicoot 3 title screen. Of course, the trailer is also on Youtube, and you can watch that below.
