Crimson Days Event Sparking Teamwork In Destiny 2 Next Week

by Robbie Key on Feb 08, 2018 at 01:08 PM

Starting next week, Bungie is spreading a little love in Destiny 2 with its weeklong Crimson Days event.

The two-on-two Crucible playlist based around Clash mode encourages players to work together. Being close to your partner recharges abilities faster. In turn, straying too far will alert the opposing team to your position.

Most of the rewards for Crimson Days are found in a new crimson engram and prevent duplicate items until all the new gear has been earned through gameplay. Players can also earn the illuminated and crimson engrams after leveling up on any playlist. Tess is also selling crimson engram items in exchange for bright dust.

Exclusive rewards that can be earned during the Crimson Days event include:

  • Fire of the Crimson Days emblem and tirastrella ghost shell. To earn these, players have to finish five Crimson Days matches and see Lord Shaxx in the Tower.
  • A chance for an undettered exotic sparrow by playing in the Crimson Days Crucible playlist.
  • Dieselpink exotic ornament for Wardcliff in the final chest of either the Leviathan Raid or Raid Lair: Eater of the Worlds.
  • Flaunting dance emote by completing the Nightfall Strike. The emote is modeled after Beyoncé's dance from the "Single Ladies" music video.

Crimson Days begins February 13 and ends at 9 a.m. PST February 20.

Our Take
I just find it hilariously ironic that one of the rewards you can get from Crimson Days, an event based around teamwork between you and another person, is the dance from a song called "Single Ladies."
