Smite Is Getting An Anime-Themed Horde Mode

by Suriel Vazquez on Feb 07, 2018 at 05:35 PM

Over its lifecycle, Smite has released various "Adventures," new modes which throw the MOBA's cast of characters into RPGs, racing, and capture-the-flag games. The latest adventure turns Smite into a Horde-type mode. It also turns it into an anime.

The Legend of the Foxes takes the real Chinese historical figure-turned-fox-spirit Da Ji into an anime schoolgirl through the new "Senpai" skin. The mode will be a wave-based survival mode that will pit players against several enemies to fend off. The update will hit with the game's 5.2 update, the date of which has yet to be disclosed. Developer Hi-Rez Studios also confirmed players will be able to purchase the Senpai bundle and play Da Ji with the skin in regular matches.

While you wait for the update, you can watch a trailer (also anime-inspired) for the adventure below.
