News

This week is the Super Bowl and people will be watching a lot of that! Meanwhile, several esports are trucking along, offering something for everyone not interested in seeing the Patriots beat the Eagles (this is my guess I made to seem like I knew anything about football. Please don't be mad at my guess).

Dota 2 has a new regular update schedule, but the other big news for the game this week is the Starladder I-League Invitational, which features the game's biggest teams making the rounds to show off who's the best. (Stream / Schedule)

Of course, League of Legends still has its LCS going on, and will for several more weeks before heading into the playoffs. (StreamSchedule)

And it's a MOBA trifecta as the Heroes of the Storm Heroes Global Championship continues. No matter what flavor of isometric, hero-based action is you choice, you've got something to watch. (Stream / Schedule)

Speaking of Blizzard games, were you aware the Overwatch League is still going on? It's true! We recently had an upset as the Seoul Dynasty suffered a loss at the hands of the London Spitfire. Who knows what could happen next (besides the fact that people will play Overwatch competitively!) (Stream / Schedule)

In Fighting Game Land (a place I'd like to visit someday) we've got a few cool events. First, we've got Body Count 4, which will feature exhibition matches between major players in Street Fighter V, Tekken 7, Injustice 2, and Dragon Ball FighterZ (Streams and Schedule)

Second we have Versus 2018, which is dedicated exclusively to versus titles Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, and Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite. (Stream and Schedule)

Finally there's "The Gang Hosts a Melee Tournament," a large Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament on the East coast featuring some strong talent. (Stream / Schedule)

That's it for this weekend! Let us know if we missed an event, or if there's a scene you'd like us to cover, in the comments below.
