The spring 2018 update for Dota 2 appears to be the last update in a the current large-scale format players currently know, as Dota 2 caretaker Ice Frog announced they will be taking a different approach to updates from now on. According to Twitter, Ice Frog is shifting from releasing larger patches a few times a year to smaller updates that will happen every two weeks. Ice Frog will try out this new method to updating for the next six months and may reevaluate for the future.
