Xbox One Now Boasts 4 Million PUBG Players, Bonus Battle Points On The Way
Microsoft has announced that the Xbox One version of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has hit a player-count milestone. The battle-royale game is now home to more than four million players, according to the company. As a way of saying thanks, Microsoft is giving players who download the game before January 31 a battle-point windfall.
Your account will be 30,000 BP heavier after February 1, provided you bought the Xbox Game Preview release before January 31 at 12 a.m. Pacific and created a character. Points can be used to purchase cosmetic crates, which give your character – you guessed it – cosmetic items.
Our Take
I haven't been especially impressed with the performance of the Xbox One version of the game, which is pretty chunky even on the Xbox One X. Still, I'll happily take the points, provided they're not all filled with brown loafers. I think I'm set in the PUBG footwear department.
