Sakura Will Be Freely Playable In Street Fighter V Next Week

by Suriel Vazquez on Jan 11, 2018 at 11:40 AM

Along with Capcom's revamping of Street Fighter V with Arcade Edition next week comes a new character: Sakura. To get players acclimated to the new features and foster a little good will, Capcom is letting players try her out free of charge during Arcade Edition's launch week.

From January 16 to 23, anyone who downloads the free Arcade Edition update will be able to use to character across all modes. Players will be able to earn fight money (SFV's in-game currency) using her, though it will all disappear once the free period is over unless players choose to purchase her with fight money or by buying the Season 3 character pass.

Our Take
This is a pretty cool way to start off a year of what I'm guessing is going to be a nostalgic year from Capcom. Between the Arcade Edition of SFV and the upcoming 30th Anniversary Collection, Street Fighter fans have a lot to look forward to.
