The Predator May Take Your Skull In Tomorrow's Ghost Recon Wildlands Update

by Jeff Cork on Dec 13, 2017 at 12:27 PM

Yesterday, Ubisoft teased an update for Ghost Recon Wildlands that includes a mission starring one of the most fearsome hunters around: the Predator. Today, the company hosted a livestream that included a slew of details about the free, limited-time mission, which is available starting tomorrow.

As it turns out, the Ghosts may have been able to successfully take on the drug cartels in the game's Bolivian jungles, but their work hasn't gone unnoticed. The Predator has been keeping an eye on the action, and targeted the area because of its fertile hunting. Your job in this new mission? Track and kill the Predator.

Of course, it's not going to be easy. The character is equipped with the arsenal that film fans may recognize, including his optical camo, vocal mimicry, and energy cannon. That cannon means business, taking out Ghosts with a single shot – assuming they don't notice the tell-tale triangle laser sight in time. The Predator has a massive amount of health, but it does bleed – and as we all know, if it bleeds, you can kill it. Players who do will be able to acquire special challenge rewards.

In addition, you can pick up a Predator Pack, which includes a variety of cosmetic items – including the Predator's helmet and wrist-mounted blades – as well as Dutch's M16 from the movie and a new sniper rifle. Those weapons will be available in PvE, but not PvP as to not affect the game's balancing.

The event starts tomorrow and runs for several weeks, through January. If you'd like to see it in action, you can see the archived stream here.
