Supermassive's Psychological Horror VR Game The Inpatient Is Delayed Into 2018

by Elise Favis on Nov 12, 2017 at 11:01 AM

Supermassive, best known as the creators of Until Dawn, announced that the studio's upcoming psychological horror VR game, The Inpatient, has been delayed into 2018.

The Inpatient is a prequel set in the same universe as Until Dawn. It takes place in the Blackwood Sanatorium in the 1950s, where the player takes the role of an amnesiac patient who is trying to figure out why they were committed. The PSVR title was supposed to release as of November 21, but has now been delayed to January 23.

Supermassive also noted that another one of its PSVR games, Bravo Team, is also being delayed. Instead of its initial release date of December 5, Bravo Team will now release on March 6.

We played a short demo of The Inpatient at E3 this year, and enjoyed what we saw. You can read our impressions, which are part of a larger VR round-up from the show, by heading here. Supermassive also recently released the thriller game Hidden Agenda, and you can read our review here.
