In an interview with GamesBeat, Respawn's Vince Zampella and EA's Patrick Soderlund sat down to talk about EA's acquisition of Respawn announced yesterday.

There has been a fear that EA's owning influence will change Respawn for the worse. The message that Zampella wants people to come away with is that the core is still the same.

"Ultimately, my message is we are still Respawn and we are going to make the same games we did before, and hopefully better," Zampella said. "Anyone who is a fan of Respawn should trust us that what we are doing what we think is best for the future of Respawn and our games. We intend to deliver to our fans everything and more than we did in the past."

Zampella does not believe Respawn is in the same danger of closing that Visceral suffered a few weeks ago. When asked about whether he feels like he has to think about his future at EA, Zampella simply replied "Nope."
