FIFA, South Park, Shadow Of War Top PlayStation Store's October Downloads

by Suriel Vazquez on Nov 07, 2017 at 11:15 AM

The PlayStation blog has released its monthly list of the most-downloaded games and add-ons on all of its platforms, and FIFA reigns supreme.

EA's yearly sports title was the most-downloaded PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 game in October, followed by South Park: The Fractured But Whole and Middle-earth: Shadow of War in second and third, respectively. Assassin's Creed follows fourth despite having launched at the end of the month (October 27). Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, which launched that same day, debuts at number 19. The top 20 PS4 games are as follows:

1 FIFA 18
2 South Park: The Fractured but Whole
3 Middle-earth: Shadow of War
4 Assassin’s Creed Origins
5 Gran Turismo Sport
6 NBA 2K18
7 The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition
8 Madden NFL 18
9 Grand Theft Auto V
10 WWE 2K18
11 Destiny 2
12 Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen
13 The Last Of Us Remastered
14 Mortal Kombat XL
15 Ghost Recon Wildlands
16 The Evil Within 2
17 Rocket League
18 Dead Island Definitive Edition
19 Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus
20 Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition

The PS3 has a mix of expected mainstays (Grand Theft Auto V) and one-offs (Dead Space, The King of Fighter XIII, Need For Speed Most Wanted). Meanwhile, Rocket League, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, and Friday the 13th dominate PS4 Add-ons list while I Expect You To Die, Driveclub VR, and Arizona Sunshine head the VR Pack. You can check out additional lists here.

Our Take
No one should be surprised about FIFA's dominance, but I am majorly bummed about Wolfenstein's rather lackluster debut. That game is very good, and you should play it!
