Nintendo Already Expecting The Switch To Surpass The Wii U
Nintendo has increased its shipment outlook for the Switch in the company's recent quarterly financial report – from 10 million to 14 million by the end of the fiscal year.
This revision puts the Switch's shipment numbers above those of the Wii U's total sales of 13.56 million units, and brings the Switch's total ship numbers to 16.74 million units worldwide.
As of September 30, Nintendo says it has sold 7.63 million Switch units worldwide.
Accordingly, the company has also raised its outlook for the fiscal year, forecasting a whopping 89 percent increase in profits.
