Drink A Can Of Red Bull, Get New Street Fighter V Content Starting Next Month
Street Fighter V's had a lot of costumes over the last two or so years. The latest batch will be themed after energy drink maker and media conglomerate Red Bull, and all you have to do is buy a can.
From November 1 to April 30, 2018, Red Bull is celebrating the fighting game series' 30th anniversary with limited edition "character cans" of the energy drinks, which will contain "exclusive Street Fighter V content" for the PlayStation 4 version of the game.
What that "content" is has yet to be seen, but clever modders have already found some (or perhaps all) of it. Frequent SFV dataminer X-Kira has dug up Red Bull-themed outfits for several characters. The costumes seem to be simple recolorings of currently-available cosutmes, albeit it with Red Bull logos attached. What else might be on tap in Red Bull cans, or whether this content will be made available in the PC version of the game, is unclear.
Our Take
If the costumes aren't available on PC (the platform I play on most), that's a huge bummer. Also, if the costumes in the datamine video are the extent of the costumes, that's doubly disappointing.
