Riot Games is getting a management restructure, as the studio's co-founders step back to focus their attention on what they say they enjoy most: making games. According to a post from Marc "Tryndamere" Merrill and Brandon "Ryze" Beck, The League of Legends studio is going to be led by three longtime employees.

Dylan Jadeja will be the new CFO, Scott Gelb is the new CTO, and Nicolo Laurent will be taking over as president of the company. Meanwhile, Merrill and Beck say they're heading back to the game-development trenches. They aren't saying specifically what that means, but they did say they're looking forward to "finally put the 's' in Riot Games."

Our Take
There are certainly some intersecting skills between management and game development, but they're ultimately different occupations. It's great that the founders are able to move back to what they're passionate about, and it could end up being great for players, too.
