Titanfall developers Respawn Entertainment have thrown its hat in the VR ring, promising a shooter for Oculus Rift in 2019.

The announcement was made at today's Oculus Connect event, and a blog post on the studio's website specifically mentions that it's not related to two of the properties the developer is working on: Titanfall and Star Wars. It does, however, related to elements that Respawn is very familiar with: war and combat.

Our Take
Oculus needs big games now and not in 2019, but it's exciting to think what a developer like Respawn can do in VR – which should be more advanced by then.
