Nintendo Opens Everybody's Message Community To Help Close Out The Miiverse

by Imran Khan on Oct 03, 2017 at 03:42 PM

Miiverse is closing in November, but Nintendo has opened one final community that lasts until October 11 to collect Miiverse memories from its remaining fellowship.

The Everybody's Message Community, opened today and lasting for a week, only allows hand-drawn messages of users collecting their experiences of the soon-to-be-closed Nintendo message board system since the Wii U's launch in 2012.

The Miiverse was Nintendo's attempt at a social network that launched on the Wii U and later came to the 3DS, only to be unceremoniously dropped for the Switch and is closing on November 7. It was integrated into many games, from level drawings in New Super Mario Bros. U to full-on level sharing in Super Mario Maker, though Nintendo says that most game-integrated features will remain despite Miiverse shutting down.

You can find the community here and experience the weirdly depressing nature of Miiverse's shutdown firsthand.
