Reader Discussion – Did You Manage To Preorder A SNES Classic?

by Elise Favis on Sep 24, 2017 at 01:00 PM

Following the huge success of the NES Classic last year, Nintendo revealed this summer that it was releasing a SNES Classic. Preorders have been selling out within minutes via online retailers, which has made it difficult for fans to snag the console. Have you managed to preorder a SNES Classic? How difficult was the process?

A couple weeks ago, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime said that the company's learned from its mistakes surrounding the shortage of the NES Classic Edition last year. He says that production has "dramatically increased" for the SNES Classic, and that we should be seeing the product on store shelves when it releases on September 29. Furthermore, the SNES Classic will be shipped out through 2018 rather than wrapping up by the end of 2017, and the NES Classic (which was discontinued last year) is making a comeback.

Our SNES Classic review is still in the works, but you can check out our unboxing photos by heading here.

Let us know in the comments whether you've managed to preorder the minuscule console, if you're hoping to buy it once it releases in a few days time, or if you don't have interest to begin with.
