Telltale Names Pete Hawley From Zynga As New CEO

by Imran Khan on Sep 14, 2017 at 01:39 PM

Telltale Games, creators of narrative-driven licensed games like The Walking Dead, Tales From the Borderlands, and Batman, have installed Pete Hawley of Zynga as the new CEO of the company.

Hawley acted as senior vice president and general manager of games at Zynga. He is being brought in to succeed Dan Connors, who co-founded the company in 2004. Connors stepped down as CEO in 2015 and had co-founder Kevin Bruner take over, but it switched back to Connors six months ago, apparently temporarily.

It remains to be seen what, if any, changes Hawley will make to the structure of Telltale, but the studio has undergone significant expansion in the last five years already. Telltale currently has several ongoing series, including Minecraft Story Mode, Batman, Guardians of the Galaxy, and The Walking Dead, with future games in series like The Wolf Among Us already announced.
