Announced today on Twitter and the Naughty Dog blog, Bruce Straley is leaving the company. Straley is best known as the director of Uncharted 2 and The Last of Us, two of the most praised games period of the last decade.

Straley does not say where he is going next, but mentions in his post that his attention has been pulled in other directions as of late. After the announcement of The Last of Us Part II, it was revealed that Straley would not be directing the game due to his extended leave from the studio, which has seemingly culminated in his departure.

Straley had been at Naughty Dog since 1999, with his first project being Crash Team Racing for the PlayStation. You can read his entire blog post at the link below.
