Destiny 2's First Raid Will Debut One Week After Launch
Less than a week ahead of launch, we've seen pretty much everything Destiny 2 has to offer (barring any potential surprises, of course). One major thing we haven't seen yet, however, are raids, the co-op experiences that act as the endgame and a constant goal to strive towards. We still haven't seen how they'll work, but at least now we know when we will.
Destiny 2 game director Luke Smith has revealed via Twitter that the first raid will go live Wednesday, September 13 at 10am Pacific time. Trials of the Nine, the hyper-competitive multiplayer mode, will go live at the same time two days later.
There will be no Raid tease for Destiny 2's first Raid.

Smith did not reveal details the name of the raid, its length, or how many floating ships you'll have to jump between.

Our Take
A week will likely not be enough time for most people to prepare for the raid, so its delayed launch isn't a big deal. If anything, high-level Destiny raiders are likely scrambling to take additional days off work so they can get geared up in time. I swear I'm not one of those people.
