One of the big pieces of news out of Nintendo's Nindie Direct was the reveal of Steamworld Dig 2's September release date.

The game follows a new protagonist in search of the original Steamworld Dig's protagonist, Rusty. Much like the original game, she digs her way down in search of money, items, new abilities, bosses, and more.

Steamworld Dig 2 releases on Switch and other platforms on September 21. You can check out the trailer for the game below.
