Ubisoft has outlined the first details about Ghost Recon Wildland's upcoming PvP update, which is coming later this summer as part of a free update. In a new video, lead game designer Lucian Istrate breaks down what players can expect to see from the new 4v4 deathmatch mode.

Players can choose from six different classes, each of which has its own loadout and way of engaging their opponents. You can snipe enemies from a distance, help your teammates by marking enemies with your drone, focus on direct attacks, and more. As you can see in the video below, players who are accustomed to hanging back in the shadows and hunting their opponents need to keep in mind that they're also being hunted.

In other Wildland news, Title Update 6 is coming to the game today. As with most updates, it addresses bugs and other glitches. The big takeaway with this update, however, is the focus on revamping the game's helicopter controls. Choppers have different flight characteristics depending on their size, rocket choppers can lock onto targets, and the in-flight HUDs display more information. You can check out the complete patch notes here, and see how the helicopters handle – and explode – in the video below.

Our Take
The goofy helicopter controls have been one of my only major complaints about Wildlands, and I'm excited to check out the new whirlybirds this weekend. That's what grizzled operator types call those things, right?
