Inspired by Konami's Castlevania video game, the animated series follows Trevor Belmont, vampire hunter and last of the Belmont clan, as he struggles to to save all of Eastern Europe from the grip of Dracula and his army of otherworldly beasts.
The Castlevania Netflix series features a cast of recognizable voice actors and currently contains just four episodes, each running approximately 23 minutes. Although the first season's run-time isn't too hefty, Netflix has already earmarked the production of a second season which will contain eight episodes, doubling that of the first.
The animated series is written by comic book writer and graphic novelist Warren Ellis, who is known for his Marvel series work and feature films, Red and Red 2.
