Techland Announces A Year Of Free DLC For Dying Light

by Jeff Cork on Jun 15, 2017 at 12:23 PM

If you're still braving the horrors of Techland's zombie game Dying Light, you're clearly not alone. Nearly three years since the game's release, the company says nearly 500,000 people are playing each week. The studio is rewarding player loyalty with the announcement that it will be releasing 10 new DLC packs for the game over the next 12 months, at no additional cost to players.

"Not a single day passes without requests for new weapons, outfits, and quests," says Techland CEO Paweł Marchewka. "In the face of such enthusiasm and engagement, we cannot keep quiet. Today I’m happy to announce Techland’s continuous support for Dying Light. Original content is already in the works and our fans can expect to face new challenging enemies, master new gameplay mechanics, solve more Harran mysteries, and even explore never-seen-before locations."

The DLC will be available across all platforms. In addition, Techland is planning a more frequent community-events schedule, with up to four events occurring per quarter.

Techland also announced that it's working on a new community platform, which will allow players to provide feedback on upcoming content and even help determine what some of the upcoming DLC might be created.
