Detroit: Become Human Trailer Foretells An Android Uprising

by Suriel Vazquez on Jun 12, 2017 at 09:02 PM

We already knew Detroit: Become Human would delve into the conflict between androids and humans in its world from multiple perspectives. The latest trailer for the game shows us a third perspective: Marcus, the leader of the android uprising.

The trailer encapsulates Marcus' story. Early on, he leads a heist against a store which keeps android for sale like commodities. Using their robotic bodies to heat pipes and break into the store, the android gang is eventually found out and chased by the police. Over time, Marcus becomes a central figure in the android rebellion, as those he frees begin following him as a leader.

We also get to see a bit of gameplay, though our brief glimpse doesn't make it exactly clear how much freedom the controls will allow us. The camera seems more distant than previous David Cage games, which could suggest more movement options. Marcus is also handed a gun at some point, which could hint at some shooter gameplay, though this could simply be a story choice. Check out the full video for yourself below.
