Learn How K-2SO Met Cassian In New Star Wars: Rogue One Comic Book
Star Wars: Rogue One showed us how the Rebellion secured the Death Star's plans, but we know hardly anything about most of the players involved in this heist. It was an ensemble film, but the focus was mostly on fleshing out Jyn Erso as the hero. Lucasfilm is now giving fans a chance to get to know her supporting cast through expanded fiction in novels and comic books.
The latest story focuses on the first meeting between Cassian Andor, a Rebel Alliance intelligence officer, and K-2SO, an Imperial security droid. We know K-2SO is eventually reprogrammed to assist the Alliance, but his first meeting with Cassian wasn't friendly. You'll have a chance to find out how this meeting happened in Star Wars: Rogue One – Cassian & K-2SO Special, a 40-page, one-shot comic book releasing this August from Marvel. Writer Duane Swierczynski and artist by Fernando Blanco make their Star Wars debuts with this story.
