Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Hits Switch This Fall

by Kimberley Wallace on May 22, 2017 at 01:31 PM

Dragon Ball fans, rejoice! Bandai Namco announced on its official Twitter plans to bring Xenoverse 2 to Switch this fall. The fighting role-playing game previously launched on PS4, Xbox One, and PC this past October. The Switch version features ad-hoc play, motion controls, and two-player battles on one system with each using a Joy-Con to duel it out.

Xenoverse 2 hosted a number of small improvements, but its biggest and best addition was a hub city called Conton City, which let you find unlockables and hang out with other players. As Kyle Hilliard wrote in his review, "The addition of Conton City alone makes Xenoverse 2 an improved sequel. Running (and later flying) around its large space with other Dragon Ball Z fans is fun, and walking up to familiar characters to learn their iconic super moves makes seeking out everyone worthwhile."

Bandai Namco didn't reveal any details beyond those brief ones, such as if the Switch version would include the DLC add-on packs that added new characters, quests, and moves.

Bandai Namco has not specified an exact release date for the Switch version, only noting it will launch sometime this fall.
