Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 Takes To The Future & The Past

by Matthew Kato on May 15, 2017 at 09:45 AM

The Lego video games have always relied upon an array of different playable characters, and the newly announced Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 continues this feature with players battling a time-traveling Kang across different eras and realities.

The game spans ancient Egypt, New York 2099, and many points in between (Chronopolis is the hub world), and includes various heroes and villains such as Cowboy Captain America and Spider-Man 2099. It also includes a four-player competitive mode.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 comes out on November 14 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, with the Switch version out later in the holiday season. The full trailer is releasing next week, so stay tuned if you're interested.

Our Take
The games have included unlockable characters with different costumes, so it'll be interesting to see how distinct the various heroes and villains from different times/realities are from each other, including whether they'll have differing powers. Hopefully this opens the gameplay up and isn't just skin swaps.
