MLB The Show 17 released to mostly positive reviews, but its launch was plagued with problematic online server issues that have continued over the last couple months. To make up for it, developer San Diego Studio recently announced that players will be compensated with in-game goodies.

San Diego Studio writes in a blog post, "We’ve been working without pause to address a number of server and gameplay issues to restore the online experience we had hoped to achieve at launch. Some of these changes have been made visible to our community in the form of patches and in-game messages, while other upgrades haven’t been publicized, in the form of back end server updates."

For those that have played MLB The Show between March 28 and May 11, they will be gifted 10 standard card packs in Diamond Dynasty, and 11,000 stubs, the game's virtual currency.
