by Kimberley Wallace on May 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM

Recently, Sega issued a small update to Bayonetta on Steam with an avatar of Vanquish's protagonist that caused many to speculate it was on its way to PC. Today, Sega has confirmed that is indeed the case.

Platinum Games' Vanquish is a fast-paced third-person shooter created by Shinji Mikami, and it launches on May 25 for PC. If you pre-order it before that date, you gain access to the Digital Deluxe Edition, which nets you a five-track soundtrack sampler, character and enemy avatars, exclusive wallpapers, and an artbook. Those who already own Bayonetta on Steam or purchase it before May 25, get 25 percent off their pre-order of Vanquish. The PC version includes unlocked framerate, 4K resolution support, extensive graphics options, and full keyboard and mouse support.

>After bringing Bayonetta, Valkyria Chronicles, Typing of the Dead, and more to PC, Sega seems keen on adding more games to the fold, teasing more announcements are on the way. “It was great to see the positive response from our community to the Bayonetta PC launch last month, and we are pleased that we are in a position to be able to announce Vanquish, another of our highly requested back catalogue titles,” said John Clark, Senior Vice President of Commercial Publishing for SEGA Europe. “There’s more to come from SEGA in this space, so stay tuned for further announcements.”

Our Take
I'm glad Sega finally confirmed this to be the case after letting fans linger for a couple of weeks. It's reassuring that the company is also exploring more options for PC releases. The more people that get to experience games, the better.
